DOUBLING THE DIFFERENCE: TEAM BRADY AND 4OCEAN FOUNDATION STRENGTHEN PARTNERSHIP FOR 2026 SEASON
BOCA RATON, Fla., 10 February 2026: Back-to-back E1 Series World Champion Team Brady and 4ocean Foundation announce the extension of their partnership, through the team’s Race for Change platform, following a highly successful 2025 season.
As the Founding Partner of the Race for Change initiative and the Team’s Official Ocean Cleanup Partner, 4ocean Foundation will continue to work alongside Team Brady to deliver impactful initiatives, including ocean and coastal cleanups and educational campaigns. The Race for Change platform harnesses the power of sport to drive global impact by highlighting sustainable technologies, promoting equal opportunities and delivering tangible results for marine preservation.
The collaboration, a partnership that redefines the role of philanthropy in sport, links competitive performance directly to measurable environmental impact. In 2025, for every point Team Brady scored in the 2025 UIM E1 World Championship, 4ocean Foundation removed 100 kg of plastic and trash from our ocean, rivers, and coastlines. Team Brady secured a second straight title and became back-to-back World Champions at the season finale in Miami, the team scored a total of 195 points, resulting in a total of 19,500 kg of waste removed for this season. This is essentially enough plastic to cover an entire football field several inches deep.
This shared commitment extended beyond the race season. During the 2025 Giving Season, Team Brady deepened its support of 4ocean Foundation through a fundraising campaign that benefited from the amplified voice of Team Brady pilot Emma Kimiläinen, the E1 Pilot of the Year. By sharing her personal and professional connection to the ocean, Emma helped elevate awareness around the Bali rainy season, one of the most critical moments for ocean plastic mitigation in the Indo-Pacific, one of the most biodiverse regions in the world. With Team Brady’s support, the Foundation reached its fundraising goal, enabling the removal of an additional ~97,500 kg of plastic from the Bali region in November and December alone.
Building on this momentum, 4ocean Foundation and Team Brady have jointly pledged to double their commitment in 2026. Next season, through the Race for Change partnership, every point will fund the removal of 200 kg of plastic pollution, amplifying the ability to support cleaner waterways, healthier marine life, and more resilient coastal communities.
Ben King and Joe Sturdy, Co-Team Principals of Team Brady, said: “Our partnership with 4ocean Foundation has redefined what sport can achieve. Winning back-to-back championships is special, but knowing that every point we score removes real waste from the world’s waters gives that success a deeper purpose. Doubling the impact to 200kg per point in 2026 takes our Race for Change platform to a new level, and we’re incredibly proud to continue building this movement together.”
Alex Schulze, CEO & Co-Founder, 4ocean Foundation, added: “I’m so stoked to extend this partnership. What Team Brady and the E1 series are doing is making sustainability cool - and that’s exactly what the world needs. The 2025 season proved that sport can drive real environmental change, and doubling our commitment for 2026 shows how serious we are about the impact we can create together. If we want to reduce the amount of plastic entering the ocean every year, we’ve got to make action accessible, visible, and inspiring. Team Brady helps us do exactly that.”
Together, Team Brady and 4ocean Foundation continue to set a new benchmark for sport-driven climate action - turning every race, every point, and every season into a force for good.
