Press Release: Team Brady Build Momentum in Dubrovnik and Move Up to Third in the Championship

Team Brady grew in performance across the weekend in Dubrovnik and showed strong pace to take second place overall, in a solid weekend for the team that moves them up to third in the Championship.

Friday was a day of refining set up, finding balance and learning how best to cope with the choppy conditions on the Adriatic Sea. The team performed well and ended the day with a fourth place in the Qualifying Race.

Both Sam and Emma delivered in Saturday’s group races, with Sam winning and Emma taking second, and a strong showing in the Race Off meant the team lined up for the Finals in lane four.

A dramatic Final 1 saw Emma keep her cool and push hard to take the win, putting the team in the best position for Final 2 and Sam followed suit, racing Team Aoki all the way to take a very close second place and give Team Brady its first podium of the year.

A strong haul of points this weekend moves the team up to third in the Championship ahead of Lake Maggiore, and for his calm, cool and consistent performance, Sam was also awarded the PIF Pilot of the Day.

Sam Coleman, Team Brady Pilot said, "A good weekend all round in the end. This result is all down to teamwork, Emma put it on pole for me, and the team made this happen all weekend. The Final felt like a battle, I had a bit of a rubbish start, so we had to work our way back through and it was tough from behind the wheel, so it’s cool to get this result in spite of that.

“It’s been a bit of struggle so far this season, those two fifths were painful. This weekend we had the pace, and it was frustrating at times, but the result is solid so very happy with that. I think we could have won the race today but will take some good points. We’re back on the podium and back in the hunt.”

Emma Kimiläinen, Team Brady Pilot said, Very happy to be back on the podium, and take some really good points this weekend. We actually haven’t been on any other podium position apart from first before, so this is a new experience for us as a team! We definitely wanted to win, but this was the maximum we could do today so really happy with the result. We can now reset for Lago Maggiore and of course will be aiming to win there!”
